Developing Criteria

It seems like almost everyone has the same basic way of deciding and writing about stores. Most of the reviews I have seen of places such as Wal-Mart are rating based on things such as how close the store is and how busy it is. There are also factors that affect these reviews such as if you own a car and are capable of easily driving there or you have to walk. There were many reviews of Wal-Mart’s from people that were able to walk there and were happy for that. Some reviews for the same store said they hated the store because they couldn’t understand the employees or other such things like that. People also review about how the stores either had what they wanted or didn’t have what they wanted. The reviews contradicted each other as well because some people reviewed and said that the store had everything that they ever needed and then other reviews said they could never find anything in the store. These reviews have similar criteria but they have total different responses to the criteria. Dealing with restaurants people tend to base reviews on how the service was and how good the food was. If a restaurant has really good service it tends to outweigh the good factor of the food. These reviews are solely based on the personal tastes and views of people and have no actually research behind them. For writing project #2 I will be making annotations and comparing different Alternative recreation places around campus such as the SRC, the Intramural fields, Hayden butte preserve also known as A-mountain, and also the Tempe town lake. Some of the criteria that I will be basing my annotations on are how these places have engaging activities and how many people they draw in and what it takes to use the spaces. Another thing that I will be criticizing these areas on how these locations benefit your health or are a detriment to your health based on the activities that are preformed there. Some of the places are better for some things then others such as the intramural fields which are a very good place to go with your friends and play some soccer or play a game of flag football. There are also many clubs that use the fields for other things such as volley ball. I am hoping to find some articles about the connections between physical activities and your health.
